All over the world, people get paid a nice amount of money to figure out just how to raise more money for their organization. Churches, local groups, and community activist organizations all have to raise money and they all have one really good way of doing it in common. These people love bingo, specifically because the game has a really nice way of raising money for them. One of the coolest, most ironic uses of bingo as a fundraiser is when a church uses it. Bingo itself is a form of gambling, but many churches put this aside for the sake of making the almighty dollar. So what makes bingo such an awesome fundraising event, especially for churches? There is the obvious draw of being able to take home big prizes, but this isn’t so important. Bingo provides the chance for people to come together for fun and for a good cause. You can make a lot more money and win bigger prizes if you play bingo down at the local bingo hall, but you won’t have as much fun as you would playing in the church with some of your closest friends. That is ultimately the big draw, as the social aspect takes precedent over other things. So what are churches generally offering the people who end up winning on their big weekly bingo night? Most of the time, churches give out gift certificates and things of that nature. They make money off of these things because businesses within the community will often donate the gift cards in order to help the church. In addition, church bingo night can also be a good place to take home some cash if you win. If you have ever dropped by the local church for bingo game night, then you will completely understand why it is such a good fundraising idea. To put it quite simply, people absolutely love the game of bingo and when you throw in the fact that they get to help people while playing bingo, you have a really nice combination on which to operate. The thrill of the game, combined with goodwill in the community cannot be beat. Leave a ReplyYou must be logged in to post a comment. |
